Davinci Motor has showcased the DC100 electric bike in Europe at EICMA 2022
EICMA 2022 will feature familiar faces as well as newcomers including Davinci Motor, a Chinese startup. After 7 years of hard work, the first mass production model in 2021, the pure electric DC100, was unveiled.

Packed with a design like nothing else, the numerous sensors that allow the DC100 to provide riders with a range of driving aids including hill assist, automatic engine braking, reverse gear, traction control and more.
Initially, reservations were limited to the Chinese market. However, starting with EICMA 2022, Davinci is pleased to officially enter the European market with the DC100.
The specs on paper look impressive, but, like all OEMs, the company can say what they want in the documentation, whether or not future real-world tests agree or not.
Some of the claims include: top speed of 200 km/h (or 124.27 mph), time from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3 seconds, maximum output of 100 kW (or about 134 horsepower), and maximum torque of 850 newton meters (626.9 lbs-) feet). DC fast charging time is about 30 minutes.
The company doesn’t give many details about the electric motor or battery, but the latter is mentioned in 17.7 kWh units.
The suspension consists of a Bitubo RCH02 front end and a Bitubo XZE21V2 rear. Other top-of-the-line components include Brembo Stylema brake calipers and 330mm front brake discs, as well as Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires mounted on the DC100’s 17-inch wheels. ABS is standard and the seat height is adjustable from 795mm to 815mm.
The curb weight is listed as 255 kg or 562 lbs heavy. This is especially interesting as the design of the DC100 includes a one-piece aluminum alloy chassis and carbon fiber composite shell.
However, current battery technology means you can’t increase range without weight, so there’s always an element of compromise.
